Walking tour. (3 hours). This estate was owned by the family of
Yusupov. The oldest buildings are of 16th century (the church of
Michael the Archangel). The Palace has a wonderful view perspective to
Moskva river with a beautiful descending esplanade. The park is made
in a French regular style and filled with antique styled sculptures.
The overall ensemble is quite akin to czars' residences even those
around Sanct Petersburg.

" TSARITSINO
Catherine the Great Palace"
Walking tour. (3 hours). This is a czar residence near old Moscow (now
within the city borders). The place's history began when Catherine the
Great decided to erect a countryside palace near Moscow. The palace was
built by by a famous Russian architect Vassily Bazhenov, but was
denied by Catherine for featuring Mason symbols in its decorations. The
perfect English styled park around the palace became a hot place for
fans of Tolkien and historic role playing. Nowadays the palace is
restored and built. There concerts going on in the residence.

'KUSKOVO
Count Sheremetiev Palace'
Walking tour. (3 hours). The estate belonged to Sheremetiev's family,
the noblest and richest aristocrats in Russia of those times. As a
result the palace of Kuskovo was called "our little Versailles" by
Moscow beaumonde. This manor is perfect example of the concept of
regular park, widely popular in the 18th century. The museum exhibition
is devoted to aristocratic culture of Russia of 18th and 19th centuries.

"KUZMINKI
- Vlakhernskoe Estate"
Walking tour. (3 hours). Kuzminki Vlakhernskoe estate is one of the
youngest parks and estates on the territory of Moscow. It has a
distinctive classicism appearance and architecture. features. The pond
with fountains and horse breeding pavilion made in a classical style
and
decorated with sculptures make the central part of the estate apart
from it magnificent palace. The estate has the biggest park amongst
other manors.

"KOLOMENSKOE
Czar residence"
Walking tour. (3 hours). Among Russian czars' countryside dwellings,
Kolomenskoe is today the oldest one. The place was established as
czar's residence during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. Since that time
a church of Ascension remains, the perfect specimen of Russian stone
architecture of 16th century. The czar's wooden palace stood
there until it burned in 18th century. Now it is being
reconstructed.
You
may take a horse ride or a Russian "sany"(sledge) ride.

" OSTANKINO
Sheremetiev's' summer palace"
Walking
tour. (3 hours). The manor also belonged to the Sheremetiev
family.Nikolai Sheremetiev turned the estate into most glamorous place
in Moscow as far as balls and theatrical performances are concerned.
Like many other landlords at that time Sheremetiev ran his own private
theater with amazing stage machinery and sound effects. The stuff of
the theater was collected from serf peasants. Close to the estate there
is a 16th century church.
